Do voters need to create an account?

No. Each voter receives an email with their own one-time voting link. They click it, mark their ballot, and they're done — no password, no sign-up, no app.

Can a voter change their vote after casting it?

No. Once a ballot is cast it is final. That's the direct consequence of a true secret ballot: because the ballot carries no link back to the voter, there is nothing to look up and replace. Voters see a confirmation screen before submitting, and organizers can send themselves a test ballot beforehand to check the wording.

How do you keep ballots secret?

Voting links are stored only as hashes, cast ballots are written with no reference to the voter, and ballot timestamps are rounded to the hour so nothing can be matched by timing. The roster records that a person voted — never what they chose. Not even we can connect a ballot to a voter.

What is a receipt code?

Accepted Answer

When a voter submits their ballot, they get a short code on screen. Published results include the full list of receipt codes. A voter can find their own code in that list and confirm their ballot was counted, without revealing to anyone how they voted.

What happens if an invitation bounces?

The bounce is flagged against that specific voter, so you can see exactly who never received their ballot. Correct the address and resend just that one invitation — no need to restart the election or re-send to everyone.

Can I watch results while voting is open?

You see live turnout — how many people have voted and how many haven't — while the election is open. Counts stay sealed until the election closes, so no one can react to a partial tally.

Can voters see the ballot in their own language?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A ballot can run in up to ten languages — English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, Italian, Polish, Vietnamese, Simplified Chinese, and Tagalog. Each voter's ballot opens in their browser's language automatically, and their invitation, reminder, and results emails follow the language you set for them. You enter translations yourself at no cost, or activate AI translation of the whole ballot as a $5 add-on.

Do I have to build the voter list myself?

No. Alongside pasting or importing a roster, you can turn on voter registration: voters sign themselves up through a public page you share as a link or a printable QR poster. Choose whether registrants are approved automatically the moment they sign up, or held for an administrator to review.

Can more than one person run the election?

Yes. An organization can have up to 10 administrators, and all of them can build, launch, and manage elections. Only the owner can invite or remove members.

What does it cost?

Elections up to 25 voters are free when you share each voter's voting link yourself. For $5 we handle delivery — email invitations, automatic reminders, and results — for the same 25 voters. Above 25 you pay once per election, at launch, based on the size of your roster ($19, $49, or $99), always with email delivery included. There is no subscription and no per-member fee.

What's the difference between the free tier and the $5 tier?

The ballot is identical — same secrecy, same receipt verification, same results. The difference is delivery: on the free tier the platform sends no emails, and you copy each voter's unique voting link from your voter table and share it yourself (a pre-filled email button makes that quick). For $5, we email invitations, remind non-voters automatically, and send results when you publish them — the same delivery every larger tier gets.
