What you can edit
In your election's setup, you can customize the invitation email's subject line and a plain-text message — use this to explain what's being voted on, add context your organization needs, or simply put the request in your own voice instead of a generic one.
What stays fixed
The voter's unique voting link, the unsubscribe footer, and the Fast Elections branding at the bottom of the email are not editable — every invitation includes them regardless of your message, so voters always have a working link and a way to opt out of reminders.
Reminders reuse it
You don't write a separate reminder email. Reminders — whether sent automatically or via Remind non-voters — reuse your subject and message, with a "Reminder — " prefix added to the subject so voters can tell the two apart at a glance.
When edits apply
Changing the subject or message only affects emails sent after you save the change. Invitations already delivered aren't rewritten or resent — if you need earlier recipients to see the updated wording, use Resend for those voters or Remind non-voters to reach everyone who hasn't voted yet.
Previewing before you send
To see exactly how your subject and message will look in a real inbox, use Email me a test ballot from the ballot builder.
